Ex-brickie realises his gym dream
THE owner of a newly-opened gym in Cambridgeshire said the first few weeks of business have been ‘better than he could have dreamed’, despite doing no advertising or marketing.
Adam Hanley opened Hanley’s Muscle and Fitness in St. Neots two months before schedule and signed up over 100 members during the first three weeks through word of mouth alone.
He is now hoping an official launch coupled with advertising in the new year will help him hit his initial target of 200.
Owner Sandra reveals how she keeps her team happy
THE owner of a three-year-old gym that’s managed to retain all its staff since day one has revealed how she keeps her team happy.
Sandra McGugan is celebrating the third anniversary of Ladybird Fitness in Wigan with a loyal set of workers, and claims the simple things are the most effective when it comes to a contented workplace.
Women-only club Ladybird, whose slogan is ‘No Men and No Mirrors’, employs four staff, two of whom are full time.
