BOUTIQUE fitness brand Digme Fitness has launched a new programme, aimed at arming runners with the tools they need to unlock speed and stay injury free.
A variation of Digme’s HIIT concept, Matrix, the Matrix Run class will be available at Digme’s Blackfriars and Oxford studios.
Comprising drills on the Technogym SkillMills and running-specific strength, balance and plyometric exercises, Matrix Run is a 50-minute workout delivered in a motivating group environment by expert coaches.
Head of fitness for Digme and creator of Matrix Run Dan Little said: “Many runners either don’t do any strength training at all, or they’re unsure what to do.
“Matrix Run will educate people on the importance of strengthening and mobilising certain areas, making them realise that they can achieve faster, pain-free running not by adding more miles but by doing a run-specific conditioning programme.
“The workout targets key areas like the core, hips and glutes, which are the foundations of strong running.
“Matrix Run also gives like-minded people a chance to train together and talk about their goals, progress and issues.
“Running can be a lonely sport, but at Digme we’re all about community, so there’ll be a strong focus on togetherness and encouragement, as with all our concepts.”
