Transforming healthcare is high on the agenda at Elevate 2019, as the UK’s largest physical activity, health and performance trade show launches its Moving Medicine seminar stream.
Debuting this year, the seminar stream will showcase the Moving Medicine initiative, created by The Faculty of Sport Exercise and Medicine (UK) in partnership with Public Health England and Sport England.
The initiative is dedicated to spreading best practice and research to create a healthier, happier and more active nation.
The Moving Medicine programme at Elevate brings this initiative to life, exploring the relationship between physical activity and health improvement.
This series of free-to-attend seminars are aimed at giving practical advice and evidence on prescribing movement for those with chronic conditions, including cancer, heart disease, depression, dementia, inflammatory rheumatic disease and frailty.
The seminars include speakers from the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK), the NHS, Public Health England, Age UK, the Alzheimer’s Society, Mind and The Royal College of GPs.
