LEISURE centre operator Everyone Active has teamed up with British Rowing to increase the quality of indoor rowing instruction in gyms across its centres.
The seven four hour training sessions are being delivered to over 90 Everyone Active fitness motivators and aim to address the gap between the popularity of indoor rowing and the standard of rowing instruction available in many gyms.
Youth and community manager at British Rowing Simon Dickie said: “We see so many people using indoor rowers in gyms having had little or no training on proper technique.
“It’s fantastic to work with a management team as proactive as Everyone Active’s to ensure instructors can help users get more out of their gym sessions. With London 2012 just around the corner this is a big opportunity to join forces with one of the leading leisure providers, get people passionate about the sport and increase emphasis on proper rowing technique.”
