LEISURE centre operator Everyone Active is the first to get behind a brand new dance fitness routine – Fitsteps – developed by Strictly Come Dancing professionals Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite, in partnership with six-time world champion swimmer Mark Foster.
The celebrity trio has worked closely with health and fitness professionals to develop a varied routine that will deliver fitness results.
Before fully committing to the programme, Everyone Active hosted two preview classes at its Watford Leisure Centre Woodside venue. These proved popular with 60 people taking part in each routine.
Everyone Active group fitness development manager Michelle Bletso said: “We really liked the idea of Fitsteps but the true test is to see how members enjoy the routine.
“We hosted two one-hour preview classes and I have to say they proved extremely popular and convinced us Fitsteps has great potential.
“The next stage is for the Fitsteps team to train our trainers so that we can add the class to our timetables. The training will take a few months and I’d like to think we will see Fitsteps on our new Autumn schedules.”
