BODYPOWER’S organisers are celebrating after this year’s show saw a 70 per cent increase in visitor numbers.
53,549 people made their way to Birmingham’s NEC across the three day event – with almost 8,000 visitors attending Friday’s dedicated industry and preview day.
CEO Nick Orton said: “Creating an exhibition brand like BodyPower required careful planning and a long term strategy in order to grow into the best Expo of its kind in the world, accessible to all stakeholders within the health and fitness industry.
“Prior to the launch in 2009, we spent months researching the market to understand what the Expo visitor wants, what the fitness industry requires, and what the vendors need to achieve, in order to deliver a successful Expo.
"The best part of running BodyPower is knowing how many thousands of people get inspired to train, get fitter, lead healthy lives and ultimately shape the future of the fitness industry, which is what we’re really passionate about.”
BodyPower will return to the NEC next year from May 16 – 18 and organisers are already thinking about plans to increase the offering for the growing trade audience.
