EVERYONE Active is opening the doors to its centres this weekend to offer free sports and leisure activities – in association with Change4Life – to mark the one year anniversary of the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
The Change4Life campaign has asked operators across the UK to open their doors and encourage active lifestyles and Everyone Active has seized the opportunity to align its annual open event, which invites people into centres every year for free taster sessions and access to facilities, and capitalise on the national impact of the campaign.
Managing director at Everyone Active David Bibby said: "Everyone Active and Change4Life have a shared message: adults should be aiming for a minimum of 150 minutes of activity per week for the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
"We advise everyone to take at least five 30 minutes activity sessions per week, two of which we would like to provide in our centres. We constantly strive to offer exciting, inclusive sports and leisure activities at great value, so we are always keen to invite local communities into our centres and help them stay active in daily life.”
