LEISURE Connection has achieved the OHSAS 18001 standard, the internationally recognised method of assessing and auditing occupational health and safety management systems.
OHSAS 18001 was first introduced in 1999 and requires organisations to assess its risk and implement an effective occupational health and safety management system to promote a safe and healthy working environment.
Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
Managing director Neil King said: “Achieving OHSAS 18001 is a clear demonstration of the structured health and safety management systems that are being delivered and adhered to throughout Leisure Connection.
“The achievement of this internationally recognised award demonstrates our commitment to the welfare of our staff and the customers of our 60+ sport, health and leisure facilities.”
