World-class rugby stars set to train at the Dome

INTERNATIONAL rugby players from New Zealand are set to descend on the Doncaster Dome later this month.
The players, currently the rugby league world champions, will be using the gym facilities in the Dome’s Fitness Village to undertake vital pre-match training ahead of their fixture at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday October 20.
Head of leisure at DCLT Kraig Kelly said: “We are delighted that the teams have chosen to use our first class facilities ahead of the big game at the Keepmoat.
“World boxing champion Jamie McDonnell also recently trained at the Fitness Village ahead of his world title fight and it is great that professional sportsmen are using our facilities as well as our regular fitness members.
“The Dome is one of the region’s premier sports, leisure and entertainment destinations, with more than 50 activities taking place under one roof and it a great coup for the venue to have such elite athletes training with us.
“I am sure that the players will enjoy their stay in Doncaster and we are very much looking forward to welcoming at the Dome.”
