A NEW personal training certificate which includes a special module on nutrition has been launched by Lifetime - providing students with a fast route onto the Register of Exercise Professionals.
Lifetime’s certificate is completed primarily as distance learning supported by a CD ROM and workbooks and attendance is required on a four-day practical advanced gym programming workshop.
It is designed to equip a fitness instructor with the skills and knowledge to personal train within a gym environment and covers the mandatory units required by REPs to achieve Level three status.
The course includes four modules: Exercise and Fitness Knowledge (level three), Nutrition and Weight Management, Advanced Gym Programming and Business Skills.
Sales and marketing manager Siobhan Wright said: “The new certificate in Personal Training is ideal for REPS level two qualified fitness instructors who wish to develop their career within a gym environment. “The programme is designed to be completed in minimal time whilst still providing the necessary personal training skills and experience to teach in the industry’s leading health clubs and leisure centres.”
