MEMBERS of a Yorkshire based exercise group, which helps sufferers of Parkinson's Disease, can now continue after it secured funding.
The Barnsley Parkinson’s Disease Community Exercise group, which runs weekly classes at a local church, has received funding from the town's Clinical Commissioning Group to secure its immediate future.
The group aims to make it easier for people affected by Parkinson's to cope no matter the severity of their condition and is run by Bronia Warden, a qualified instructor.
GP and chair of the Barnsley CCG Dr Nick Balac said: "This is an excellent community initiative which focuses on improving the quality of life for the people in Barnsley."
