Work to start on new £10m leisure centre

PELLIKAAN Construction has been chosen by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council to build a new £10m leisure, community and youth centre in Preston.
The company, who recently built the new Horley leisure centre, has completed over 900 leisure centre projects across Europe including the London Planning Award winning Glass Mill Leisure Centre and several David Lloyd clubs.
As well as building the new facilities, which will include a 25m six lane swimming pool; 50 station gym; exercise studio; sports hall and five-a-side football pitches, the contract includes constructing a new access road, making improvements to Merland Rise Recreation Ground and demolishing the old community centre.
Construction is expected to start in the spring and be complete in autumn 2015.
