ABERDEEN Sports Village is gearing up to play its part in the Commonwealth Games this year, after recently welcoming its three millionth user.
As part of the celebrations, ASV will will host a Commonwealth Sports Tour, which gives children from Primary Four to Secondary Two the opportunity to experience a range of sports including, badminton, gymnastics, rugby and aquatics with expert coaching.
Chief executive at Aberdeen Sports Village David Beattie said: “This is an immensely exciting time for sport in Scotland, and, with the Commonwealth Games next month, there is a real buzz.
"We are also incredibly proud that a number of youngsters who use ASV as their training ground, Andrew McGovern, Jack Ness and Zoey Clark, to name a few, who will be competing in the Games, a testament to the world-class facilities on offer.’’
