TIME is running out to enter the prestigious National Fitness Awards, with less than a month to go until nominations close for the 2014 event.
Clubs from around the country have already put themselves in with the chance of winning a trophy by entering online and telling us what makes their facility so special.
And with categories ranging from Regional Gym of the Year to best strength, combat and functional gyms, there is something for clubs of every shape and size.
Gyms can also put forward their most inspirational customer for member achievement or recognise the contribution made by staff by entering gym based personal trainer of the year or gym team.
The awards are now in their fifth year and are organised by Script Events, in partnership with Workout and headline sponsor Servicesport.
The event was set up to recognise excellence and achievement from all corners of the industry and the standard of entries is getting stronger each year.
Nominations will close on August 22 after which a shortlist of up to six entrants will be drawn up in each category.
Everyone on the shortlist will then be contacted to arrange a comprehensive site visit carried out by a member of the Workout team, before reports are compiled to be passed on to our expert judging panel – Kim Ingleby, Dean Hodgkin, Carly Thornton, Steve Johnson and Ken Heathcote – who will have the tough task of picking the winners.
Trophies will be handed out at a glittering ceremony, this year taking place at The Athena in Leicester on Friday November 28 and hosted by boxing champ Ricky Hatton and former TV Gladiator Caroline Pearce.
