RUNNERS, joggers and walkers are being given a unique opportunity to turn the runway red at Manchester Airport to raise funds for charity.
Manchester Airport and British Airways are hosting a celebrity event on September 21, which will see fun runners follow a 4km route around the perimeter of the UK’s third largest airport.
The event is in aid of Flying Start, British Airways’ global charity partnership with Comic Relief UK, and Medcare, Manchester Airport’s supported charity at the Wellspring Children’s Medical Centre in Kamutuuza, Uganda.
Participants are being asked to wear something red and raise a minimum of £25 in order to take part. They will be joined at the start line and during the run by a number of famous faces, with the full celebrity line up to be revealed at a later date.
