DANCING on Ice star Dan Whiston is putting his dance skills to good use, by hosting a charity Zumbathon next month.
Dan is now a fully qualified Zumba instructor and is hosting the event on Friday October 3 at Blackpool’s iconic Tower Ballroom to raise funds for Brian House Children’s Hospice.
Registration will be from 4pm on the day with the actual Zumbathon running from 5-9pm.
Dan, who is a patron of Brian House, said: “This is going to be a fantastic event. So many people love Zumba so this is a great way for people to have an amazing time while helping such a brilliant charity.
“We are so pleased that we have The Blackpool Tower Ballroom for this event. The team at The Tower have been great in helping make this happen and I can’t think of a better venue than to hold an event like this in Blackpool.”
Some of the Fylde Coast’s top Zumba instructors will take part in the Zumbathon with Dan, with each leading a half hour session. He is also planning to invite some celebrity friends to join in.
He added: “We just want this to be a really fun event while raising money for Brian House. I’m not revealing anything just yet but there will be some very well known faces joining in on the night so watch this space.”
Admission to the Dan Whiston Zumbathon is a minimum donation of £10 per person with all proceeds going to Brian House.
