THE theme for active-net 2015 will be leadership and governance, organisers have announced.
Delegates will be invited to attend seminars focused on strategic leadership and transformational change to help them develop their management skills, knowledge and experience and use this to influence policy and decision-making across the wider sport and physical activity sector.
Leisure-net joint director and active-net organiser David Monkhouse said: “The active leisure sector already has an established culture of good governance, but there’s always more that leaders and their organisations can do.
“active-net 2015’s educational seminars will bring together experts in the field of leadership and governance to help delegates share best practice, learn different leadership style and behaviours, and plan their own leadership development.
“We will also be considering the potential impact of social media, and how this can be used for positive change.”
The event will take place at Imago Burleigh Court and Holywell Park, Loughborough on April 29 and 30.
