A BANNATYNE’S member of staff has ditched Rugby for Rumba in a bid to raise money for Wakefield Hospice in a Strictly Come Dancing style challenge.
Connor Cawthorpe, from Leeds, a Cafe Bar Assistant at the Paragon Avenue health club has joined forces with Wakefield Hospice and a number of volunteers to take part in a Strictly Come Dancing event on November 1 at Ossett War Memorial Community Centre.
Connor, a keen rugby player is determined to raise money for the good cause whilst also diversifying his skills and trying something new.
The Wakefield Hospice volunteers will be using the health club to train in preparation for the event and will be guided by two former professional dancers.
The candidates will be scored by a panel of judges and the winners will be decided using audience participation.
