Everyone Active’s Plymouth Life Centre has been chosen to host this year’s BBC South West Children in Need appeal programme on Friday November 14.
The show will be broadcast live on BBC Spotlight and BBC Radio Devon and highlights – including a choir of 200 children from Devon and Cornwall singing – will appear as part of the main show aired nationally on BBC One.
The centre is also hosting a range of activities to raise funds for the cause on the day, including cake sales, bouncy castles and face-painting, and will be challenging individuals to run, swim, row, climb and ride as far as they can to raise extra money.
Everyone Active contract manager David Greenwood said: “We’re thrilled that Plymouth Life Centre has been selected to host Children in Need for the South West this year.
“The state-of-the-art facilities here are matched by very few other sites in the UK so it’s a great venue for the show.
"We hope this year will be another record-breaking total for the charity and we’re looking forward to doing our bit to raise as much money as possible.”
