DONINGTON Park will host the X-Runner Winter Warrior Obstacle Race – an intense 5k or 10k assault course for fitness enthusiasts looking for a muddy new challenge – later this month.
Taking place on Saturday January 31, the race will be the first event X-Runner has hosted in the winter months – adding a new challenge to the already punishing route which features mud tunnels, giant walls, cargo nets, tightropes and fire pits.
With up to 3,000 runners able to take part on the day, it’s set to be one of Donington Park’s biggest fitness attractions in 2015.
Managing director of X-Runner events Steve Walker said: “Health and fitness is a massive industry now, so runners are always on the lookout for their next big challenge. With the risk of some very cold weather and the action-packed course on offer at Donington Park, we’re expecting this event to be one of our toughest to date. Whether you’re running for a charitable cause or just fancy doing something a bit crazy – we guarantee you’ll have a muddy good time.”
Entries for the X-Runner Winter Warrior Obstacle Race close on Monday January 26th, but a number of on-the-day places will be available.
