BACK in April 2014 just after they launched to the industry, dance fitness brand Clubbercise had less than 10 instructors in the UK.
Their target for 2014 was to recruit 100 instructors, which seemed fairly ambitious for a start-up with minimal funding. However, by the end of the year they had actually trained just over 150 instructors.
Clubbercise is currently the fastest-growing dance fitness brand in the industry. This is partly fuelled by demand from instructors and gyms looking for something new and exciting for their timetables but also thanks to massive demand from the general public for classes.
Clubbercise co-founder Claire Burlison Green said: “The whole country has gone Clubbercise crazy, we’ve even had people starting campaigns via social media to get our classes up and running in their local area and some people are travelling 30 miles or more to get to a class!”
It seems the combination of club anthems, disco lights and glow sticks is a winning formula and Clubbercise is expecting to have at least 500 instructors on board by the end of 2015, which will make them one of the biggest dance fitness brands in the UK.
