PULSE Fitness is set to upgrade four gyms in South Staffordshire District Council’s leisure portfolio over the next three years, as part of its continuing successful partnership with the local authority.
The £180,000 contract to equip Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre, Codsall Leisure Centre, Wombourne Leisure Centre and Penkridge Leisure Centre with new kit is the latest development in the 10-year partnership between the leisure solutions provider and the district council.
As part of this new contract win, more than £45,000 of CV equipment has already been installed at Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre, a dual-use site sharing facilities with Cheslyn Hay Sport and Community High School on the outskirts of Cannock. The project included the installation of Pulse’s Series 2 Fusion CV range, Evolve strength equipment, new flooring and redecoration.
Completed in February, the centre has already reported a 30 per cent increase in attendance from existing members and a steady growth of new joiners.
Leisure services area manager Dale Mansell said: “Pulse has delivered yet another successful project for us at Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre, which is already paying dividends with increased usage.
“Pulse’s ability to provide us with added value services was key to extending our partnership and we’re looking forward to working with them on these four facilities in our portfolio.”
