AN exciting dance based, interval training class has launched to the industry; created by professional dancer and fitness instructor Tanya Bright.
JeKaJo Dance mixes different music genres to create an uplifting, feel good mood that will bring the spirit of carnival to any fitness studio.
Participants can expect to get their groove on to R’n’B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca and Afro Beats, with each song bringing a different type of training.
Tanya was inspired by her love of dance and her African heritage to create the class and chose the name JeKaJo as it literally means ‘let’s dance’ in a Nigerian tribal language.
She said: “My heritage is so important to me that I wanted to share my experience of different cultures with others through the power of music and dance. Although some of the tracks provide a high intensity workout, the moves are easy to pick up and the energy in the class is just electric.
“It’s great to be able to bring different sounds and cultures into the fitness studio and show people that they don’t have to perfect every move each time, it’s about having fun and letting go while getting an amazing workout at the same time.”
Classes are already being taught in London, Bournemouth and Nottingham, with more instructor training courses in the pipeline.
