FREEDOM Leisure has extended its portfolio by winning the contract to operate 15 sites in Powys.
The operator will work in partnership with Powys County Council on a 15 year contract and an investment of around £2.5m has been promised to allow significant improvements across the contract including site developments at three facilities and five environmental upgrade projects.
Managing director Ivan Horsfall Turner said: “We are delighted to have been selected to manage the Powys portfolio. Our aspiration, as always, is to deliver a locally focussed leisure service for the communities in Powys.
“The wide range of sites gives us plenty of scope to enhance the leisure facilities in the region which, in partnership with the Council, will benefit from an investment of around £2.5m.”
