A RESIDENT at a care home in Bearsden has proved age is no barrier to keeping fit by celebrating her 106th birthday with a special exercise class, designed by award-winning social enterprise, Oomph!
Flo Smith, the oldest resident at Antonine House, celebrated her birthday with a lunch for 40 of her family and friends and a special Oomph! class with music chosen by her.
The class was taken by activities coordinator Samantha Dougan, who has undertaken training from Oomph! to deliver chair-based exercise classes to her residents that use colourful props, popular music and themed imagery.
