ANGLIA Ruskin University’s Helmore Campus in Cambridge has benefitted from an extension and refurbishment to its fitness suite.
The investment, which is part of the University’s commitment to innovation and ongoing development, saw the gym completely refurbished in just two weeks to be ready for the new term.
The work included demolishing a wall to increase the size of its gym to 189 sqm in order to accommodate additional equipment.
The Helmore gym showcases 10 Precor cardio machines, including the new Next-Generation Experience Series Treadmill.
It features two upper body Vitality Series Selectorised Single strength stations, four Vitality Series Selectorised dual station units and a selection of Icarian strength pieces, along with a large selection of free weights, kettlebells and racks.
Sports facilities co-ordinator at Anglia Ruskin University Laura Harman said: “We are continually improving our services and offering to our faculty and students.
“The refurbished gym and upgrade of equipment is in line with our strategy to increase the fitness experience for both students and staff. It not only provides us with a top-of-the-range facility but will also help when recruiting new students.”
