OPERATED by Tonbridge and Malling Leisure Trust on behalf of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, Larkfield’s health suite has undergone a comprehensive £400,000 redevelopment to bring the latest in spa and wellbeing experiences to the popular centre in Aylesford.
The redevelopment involved stripping the health suite back to its shell and redesigning the space to provide a wider range of facilities. These include a sauna with a capacity for 10 people, a steam room with seating for eight and spa bath that can accommodate eight people at one time. An ice feature and new showers complete the offer.
A new air handling system ensures a comfortable temperature for users, while new flooring, wall tiles and lighting create the ideal environment for relaxation and rejuvenation. The facility also includes a hoist allowing those with limited mobility to access the spa bath.
The project was funded by Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council and Tonbridge and Malling Leisure Trust, who invested £340,000 and £60,000 respectively in the scheme.
