EVERYONE Active has been named Southwark Council’s sports and leisure services partner for the next seven years.
The contract – which will commence on the June 21 – will see Everyone Active work in partnership with Southwark Council to manage the eight leisure centres in Southwark.
This includes Camberwell Leisure Centre, Dulwich Leisure Centre, Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Sports Facility, Peckham Pulse Healthy Living Centre, Southwark Athletics Centre, Seven Islands Leisure Centre and Surrey Docks Watersports Centre. It also includes the new £20m leisure centre, The Castle Centre. Everyone Active will also deliver the council’s free swim and gym programme.
£2.7m of investment from Everyone Active into the popular centres will ensure top-class facilities for Southwark residents and local sports and leisure groups. Investment will include the refurbishment of five of the fitness suites and the installation of new Technogym equipment in year one of the contract.
A host of other refurbishments will be carried out including the installation of new group exercise equipment at four of the centres.
