OVER 4,000 swimmers took to the waters in a sell-out open weekend at the newly refurbished Saltdean Lido.
The weekend saw families and groups of friends excited to be among the first to take to the water, with most having pre-booked their two-hour slot.
The party atmosphere was enhanced by the pop up bar and stalls serving burgers, stone baked pizza and ice cream.
The iconic lido has been refurbished after a long campaign by the Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company, who have appointed Fusion Lifestyle as their operating partner.
Director of operations at Fusion Lifestyle Anthony Cawley said: “We are delighted to be the operational partner at Saltdean Lido.
“We are committed to providing top quality, affordable sport and leisure facilities to local communities and breathing new life into lidos like this is one is something we are passionate about.”
