GLO Gym in Oldham has held a fundraising boot camp event in memory of two of its members who lost their lives in the Manchester terror attack.
Alison Howe and Lisa Lees were both killed in the bomb blast at Manchester Arena last month.
To honour the memory of Alison and Lisa, staff and members of Glo Gym as well as members of the public took part in a team boot camp earlier this month. Led by Glo’s instructors, four teams sweated it out to complete a range of exercises and fitness challenges.
A raffle as well as food and drinks, donated by local businesses, were available after the workout.
About 50 members of the local community took part in the event raising more than £1,000 for the families of Alison and Lisa.
Gym manager Caroline Johnson said: “This tragedy has been so hard for everyone, especially the families involved. But the support of the local community in coming together to show solidarity and joy in remembrance of Alison and Lisa who loved Glo Gym’s classes and having a good time has been amazing.”
