A NEW free weights gym has opened at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge to meet growing demand from customers.
tmactive and Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council have invested a total of £200,000 in new fitness equipment at the centre, which includes an Olympic half rack and dumbbells weighing up to 50kg.
Additional free weights are also available in the main gym which will also receive new resistance and cardio equipment from Technogym.
Elsewhere in the centre, the changing rooms will be refurbished in response to customer feedback.
CEO of tmactive Martin Guyton said: “We are in constant communication with our members. They told us they needed more free weights and this was backed by an in-depth study into usage of the gym equipment. “Following the recommendations of this study, and a significant contribution from Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, we have been able to tailor our new equipment to the unique needs of our members providing them with a fantastic new free weights gym as well as some of the best cardio and resistance equipment on the market.”
